がたごと（ガタゴト）
手押し一輪車などの車輪がついたもので、足場の悪いところを進む音。馬車の揺れを表す音。
The sound of a wheelbarrow or other wheeled vehicle moving forward on poor footholds. A sound representing the rocking of a carriage.
がたんごとん（ガタンゴトン）
電車の揺れを表す音。電車の音。

「がた(ん)」「ごと(ん)」はそれぞれ別のオノマトペとして存在する。
どちらも物が揺れたり置いたりした時の音。「ごと(ん)」のほうが重たい音です。
"がた(ん)" and "ごと(ん)" exist as separate onomatopoeias.
Both are sounds made when an object is shaken or placed. The "ごとん" is a heavier sound.
