ぱち（パチ）、ぱちぱち（パチパチ）
高い音で続かない音。この音は間に長音を入れて伸ばすことができない音。いろんな表現に使われる。
A sound that does not continue on a high note. This sound cannot be extended with a long note in between. It is used in various expressions.
ぱち（パチ）
目を開いた音。
The sound of eyes opening.
スイッチを押した音。（部屋の明かりをつけるときなどによく使われる）
The sound of a switch being pressed. (Often used, for example, to turn on a room light.)
ぱちぱち（パチパチ）
拍手の音。
Sound of applause.
まばたきの音。
The sound of blinking.
驚いて目を丸くした状態でまばたきをするときにしか使わない「ぱちくり」というオノマトペもある。最近はあまり見ない。
There is also the onomatopoeia "pachikuri," which is used only when blinking with eyes rolled back in surprise. I haven't seen much of this onomatopoeia lately.
焚火の音。燃えた木が爆ぜる音。
The sound of a bonfire. The sound of burning wood exploding.
